The roses we grow on the farm are called ancient or medieval roses. They have all been cultivated since before 1700. When these roses are in bloom, you can smell it around the block! They smell the way a rose was meant to smell, just amazing!! We take these beautiful fresh rose petals, and carefully distill our own rosewater from them. We then add a very small amount of witch hazel to elongate shelf life and add a refreshing and balancing effect.
Rosewater, having mild astringent qualities, removes excess oils and tightens pores. It may even be used as a mild cleanser itself, removing dirt and excess oil, and keeping pores unclogged. The anti-inflammatory properties help to reduce redness and swelling from blemishes. Rosewater is extremely hydrating, which helps soothe dry, irritated skin, also making it ideal for treating and cooling sunburns.
Our facial toner prepares your skin for moisturizer and tones your pores after cleansing, though can also be used as a refreshing spray anytime throughout the day!
